Motherwell v Celtic: Collum to referee must win clash

The SFA have announced the referee appointments for this weekend’s Cinch Premiership fixtures. Celtic travel to Fir Park on Sunday to face Motherwell as Brendan Rodgers’ side look to bounce back from their disappointing 1-1 draw at home to Kilmarnock.

Willie Collum has been announced as the referee for the game with the veteran whistler assisted by Jonathan Bell and John McCrossan with Duncan Williams acting as Fourth Official.

Meanwhile, at Clydesdale House, Gavin Duncan is on VAR, assisted by Gary Hilland.

Collum was on VAR as Celtic dropped more points at home with Watson scoring late with a header. VAR briefly checked to see whether there was a foul in the build up but replays showed that the teenager showed more desire than Bernabei, whose arrival on the pitch coincided with the loss of control.

Celtic will likely find themselves five points behind Rangers on Sunday, with Clement’s team hosting Hearts on the Saturday at Ibrox. The Edinburgh side seldom lay a glove on Rangers apart from bottling a 90 min lead earlier this season. Brendan and his team require a perfect run until the meeting at Ibrox.
