Motherwell v Celtic: Willie Collum named referee for Saturday’s match

Willie Collum has been named as referee for Celtic’s game against Motherwell on Saturday. The Scottish Champions travel to Fir Park on the back of an impressive 3-0 win away to Livingston, despite being reduced to ten-men.

The veteran referee will be joined by Graeme Stewart and Chris Rae, who will operate as his Assistant Referees. Duncan Williams is on 4th Official duties whilst at Clydesdale House, Grant Irvine is on VAR duties with David Roome assisting.

Collum was on VAR duties for the game at Pittodrie on Sunday as Aberdeen won 4-0 against Ross County. Never far from controversy, Collum decided not to tell the referee on the pitch to review his decision after Jonny Hayes was on the end of a shocking tackle.

Brendan Rodgers will be hoping that his team can continue their run of form as each game brings gradual improvement. The manager will not be overly impressed in collecting three red cards from two games and, hopefully, Collum doesn’t increase that count.

  1. Obviously Beaton failed in his responsibilities on Saturday so now they are digging up the most corrupt ref they can find to see what he can do.
