Mourinho slams Rodgers not seeing out the season as a Champion at Celtic

JOSE MOURINHO has slammed Brendan Rodgers for walking out on Celtic to take the job at Leicester City. The former Manchester United, Chelsea and Real Madrid manager who of course managed Porto in the 2003 UEFA Cup Final against Celtic in Seville is NOT surprised that Rodgers would swap Celtic of Leicester because of the size and wealth of the Premier League but like nearly every Celtic supporter, the problem that Mourinho sees with the Irishman’s decision is all about the timing.

Mourinho said that in the same position he would have told Leicester City to wait until the summer as he would want to finish the season in Scotland as a Champion and that the correct time to leave Celtic – a giant club – would be in the close season.

So there you have it Rodgers, it’s a mistake that will live with you for the rest of your days.

Here’s what Mourinho had to say on beIN SPORTS…with Andy Gray sitting alongside him, giggling. Wonder if he’s seen any of the papers today?
