Moussa Dembele On His Reunion With Celtic And His Lasting Love For The Club

Moussa Dembele spent two seasons in Glasgow and he admitted that his time in the hoops made him a man before his move to Lyon.

According to reports in the Daily Record, Dembele said: “My story at Celtic was good I think. We won titles, we won matches, we won derbies. I grew as a man and as a footballer, which is the most important thing. All stages are important, but it is true that my time there was the first time that I went to a new dimension and I still thank the club for everything they gave me.”

Dembele scored a number of goals in big matches and maintains a respect for the incredible Celtic support he played before.

“Celtic is a very big club, not just in Scotland, but in Europe,” he said. “I think that they are known as one of the most supported clubs in the world, and they prove it. I still support the club. I still know 90 percent of the squad, there have been some new arrivals, but 90 percent of the team is the same as when I was there, I am still in contact with them.”

Despite his admiration for the Bhoys, Dembele scored against Celtic inside five minutes last night. Speaking of the goal, the striker said: “We are Lyon, we don’t have any friendly matches, we go on to the pitch to win and impose our style of play quite simply. Despite spending two fantastic years there (at Celtic), I am a Lyon player and give my all.”
