Neil Lennon and Barry Ferguson to appear on Go Radio Football Show

Former Celtic captain and manager Neil Lennon is set to be paired up with former foe and long-term opponent, Barry Ferguson. The two men of course were adversaries back in the day when their respective clubs’ clashed and both men went to war in classic encounters in the early to mid-2000’s. Now they are set to be on the same team!

Well, at least in a professional sense anyway.

For it has been revealed via social media platform Twitter that Lennon and Ferguson will appear on the Go Radio Football Show with one another this coming Monday. They will be joined by regular host, Paul Cooney, as he chairs the discussion on Scottish football between the two which will be a very interesting listen for sure.

Lennon, of course, went on to manage Celtic too as well as represent the club in the field of play and as skipper. Ferguson hasn’t had any notable forays into the management game as of yet but is still young enough to make that leap – although if his underwhelming CV is anything to go by maybe he should just stick to the punditry!

Both men will have thoughts on how they see this season panning out and it will be especially curious to see how either men react to the appointment of Brendan Rodgers at Celtic Park. Lennon’s fellow Irishman was a raving success his first time round on the domestic scene, winning two Trebles and starting the run to a third, which Lennon duly stepped in and finished, all credit to him.

Don’t forget to tune in to this one, this coming week – Monday, 26 June.

About Author

I'm a Garngad Bhoy through and through. My first ever Celtic game was a friendly against Italian side Parma at Celtic Park, in 2002. Currently a student of English Literature and Education at the University of Strathclyde for my sins. Favourite game would be a toss up between beating Manchester United with that Naka freekick, or the game against the Oldco when Hesselink scored in the dying seconds. I'm still convinced Cal Mac is wasted playing that far back.
