Former Celtic manager Neil Lennon will be delighted at the news today that his son Gallagher Lennon has been named in the Northern Ireland Under 18s squad for the first time. The Northern Ireland Under 18s have two back-to back friendlies with Austria next week and the young Partick Thistle player with the famous Celtic dad, look set to make his international debut at that level.

Gallagher Lennon is a midfielder, just like his old man and although born in Scotland, qualifies to play for Northern Ireland through his dad. And after some fine displays for his local side Partick Thistle in the West End of Glasgow, the Northern Ireland call-up has come before any interest from Scotland.
And today the Belfast Telegraph reports that they understands that the former Celtic manager, who recently left Cyprus in rather bizarre circumstances, would be interested in taking over from Ian Baraclough as the Northern Ireland manager.
Incidentally young Celtic goalkeeper Kai McClean has also been called into the Northern Ireland Under 18s squad and like Gallagher Lennon is in line for a potential cap.
