Anthony Ralston has conceded Celtic cannot hide from their recent collapse in form under Wilfried Nancy, but the Hoops defender is adamant the side will be primed for tomorrow’s showdown against theRangers…

Pressure is mounting on Nancy
Pressure is mounting on Nancy after a fifth loss in seven outings, with Motherwell running out 2–0 winners against the Scottish champions on Tuesday evening.
Defeat at home in the Glasgow Derby would plunge the club deeper into turmoil, and Ralston acknowledged standards have fallen well short of what is expected.

Despite the scrutiny, Nancy remains confident he can arrest the slide, and Ralston echoed that belief, backing the manager to steady the ship and deliver the league before the campaign is out.
‘We understand the difficulties’
Quizzed on whether he trusts the team can reverse their fortunes, the full-back said via Daily Record: “We understand the difficulties. But there are no excuses in football. Especially at a club like Celtic. You win and you bring success. And there’s no other way around it.”

“Tuesday night was difficult. Obviously as an individual and a group of players, it’s not something you’re willing to accept. We’re in a period now where we’ve got a game every three days.
“We know the game we’ve got at the weekend, so we’ll take the time to analyse it, to see where we can improve. Then we need to get ourselves ready for a massive game at the weekend.”

Ralston added: “We understand the magnitude of the game. We have experienced players in the dressing room who know what the game’s all about.
“And we’ll be ready. First of all, we need to show the fight. And I feel that the fight has been there. We’ve been showing grit when we’ve had to show grit. When we have the chances, we need to take our chances.

“But overall, as a collective unit, both offensively and defensively, we need to tidy up on a few things. But come the weekend, it’s a game that we’re all very familiar with. Especially the experienced lads. And we’ll be more than ready to take that on.”
🗣️ “The Celtic players look directionless. The squad is in dire need of major surgery.”
