“No greeting faces” These Celtic fans sound happy with the starting XI vs Aberdeen for the Scottish Cup Semi-Final

There’s still a positive feeling around Celtic after throwing two points away on Thursday, but it will be different today as nothing but a win will be acceptable.

The reward for a victory is clear with a potential final against Championship opposition, so this is the perfect chance for Celtic to continue their incredible domestic cup run.

They can probably take comfort in some ways from the recent 3-3 draw where they did enough to win without playing well, and we’ve seen Aberdeen stumble on the big stage multiple times before.

They do have a physical threat up front that needs to be dealt with, but Lennny was short of defenders so there wasn’t a lot of choice for him in that department today:

It will be interesting to see how Bitton and Duffy get on as a pair – they should be dominant in the air but Frimpong and Laxalt will need to be switched on to sweep in behind when needed.

It’s also pleasing to see Eddy back and the bench looks very formidable, so a lot of the fans are agreeing that this is the strongest that the team has looked for a while:
