“Noo’s the Day and Noo’s the Hour,” David Potter’s words from a rebel song

“Noo’s the Day and Noo’s the Hour” are words from a rebel song – a Scottish rebel song, but a rebel song none the less, and the sentiments are similar to “Tonight we man the bhearna beoghail” – apologies for my spelling, but then again my teacher always said that I was an Erse at spelling Irish Gaelic – ho! ho! ho!

Frivolity aside, this is serious. The club’s finances are intimately connected with a victory in this game, but so too is the club’s status. Our support and atmosphere, we all know, are second to none, and we all could do with a boost after the recent depressing few days.

The task is not beyond us, but we need to score. This is why we really should start with both Edouard and Griffiths up front with Dembele (funny how HIS injury is better and Dedryck’s isn’t!) ready to come on at half-time. A great deal depends on Jack Hendry tonight, something that the intelligent young man is aware of. No errors, please.

And if Callum McGregor ups his game from Saturday and if James Forrest and Olivier Ntcham step up to the mark, then we really should do it. Go it Celts! You’ll have a huge support watching the telly to cheer you on.

Dedryck Boyata? I’m afraid it will simply not do! And I was one of the columnists who backed you up last year! But you have betrayed us! Go! Stand not upon the order of your going, but just go! … But who is going to take you with your gold-digging agent, and that apparently very serious back injury? But just disappear!

  1. Well put James the sooner him and his money grabbing so called agent fook off the better. Whatever we could manage to get for him is better than letting him pulling on the Hoops again. Besides we will be saving on what we are paying him now. Mon the Hoops HH
