Croatian journalist Ižak Ante Sučić has weighed in on the story that Manchester United are interested in signing Josip Juranovic from Celtic. The full-back joined from Legia Warsaw last summer and has been an integral part of Ange Postecoglou’s team, helping win the League Cup and League last season.
However, his form has resulted in potential suitors sounding out the Croatian Internationalist’s availability in the transfer market. The 25-year-old was linked with Atletico Madrid but now Manchester United and Chelsea are being linked. According to The Daily Mail, Juranovic is on a Man Utd list of potential targets.
Sučić was prolific during the pursuit of Juranovic and now he has commented on the links with a simple comment of ‘Nope’.

Hopefully for Celtic’s sake, there is nothing in the links as JJ has been an excellent signing. He fits the style of play that the manager wants to play and is able to couple up both attacking and defensive duties.
In any event, the £15m fee quoted is a fraction of Juranovic’s true value. With four years remaining on his current deal, Celtic are in an extremely strong position. Meanwhile, Erik Ten-Haag’s team lost their opener against Brighton on Sunday. This will automatically put United in a poor position for negotiating as it is abundantly obvious that they need to recruit heavily towards the end of the window.
