North Curve Celtic campaign spreads around the world

Celtic supporters being recognised around the world. We should all be proud to be on what will eventually prove to be the right side of history…

The good deeds of the Celtic supporters are peculiarly condemned in the eyes of certain questionable individuals throughout the game. Whether that be public figures, rival supporters, the media or UEFA themselves, they all shamefully cast aspersions on the empathy and compassion of our collective fan base around the world.

That’s why it was good to see the supporters of Galatasaray display their heartfelt gratitude to the Celtic supporters during their recent Europa league clash with AZ Alkmaar at Rams Park.

The Galatasaray supporters unveiled a banner with the simple but affective words ‘We thank the Celtic supporters for their unwavering support for Palestine’.

That was a real heartwarming moment, and on the back of our most recent display of support for the oppressed people of the Palestine nation who are suffering an ongoing act of genocide all in front of the watching world. Although rather sadly, their plight is disgustingly being allowed to continue as no nation or even the United Nations seems able to stop the slaughter of helpless unarmed civilians, including thousands of women and children.

We have a moral duty not just as football supporters, but as human beings to highlight the suffering and injustice inflicted on the Palestinian nation. Our own club was formed for helping the oppressed after all and as a consequence of another genocide, the one that Is called the Great Famine.

We should all be proud to be on what will eventually prove to be the right side of history. The recognition from the Galatasaray supporters and several other supporter groups around the globe is further evidence that our campaign for a voice for the Palestinian people is being heard loud and clear, and others are appreciative and taking notice.

The Green Brigade’s campaign – Show Israel the Red Card – is spreading across football clubs around the world and it was even apparent at Easter Road yesterday when the Hibs supporters got involved with their own display calling for Israel to be shown the red card. There has also been calls among the Aberdeen support to get involved too and we may see something from them on Tuesday night at Celtic Park.

About Author

An ordinary everyday Celtic supporters hailing and still residing in Govan in the shadows of the enemy. I’m a season ticket holder. I Witnessed my first Celtic game in 1988 and have attended when I can ever since. Growing up in the 90s I witnessed Celtic at their lowest, and now appreciate the historic success we enjoy today. I enjoy writing about this wonderful football club and hopefully will continue to do so. I’ve always been a keen writer and initially started this a hobby. My ambition is to one day become as good an author as my fellow Celtic Star colleagues.

  1. “All it takes for EVIL to triumph is for one good man to do nothing” . ( Edmond Burke ) .

Well done , JUSTANORDINARYBHOY for compiling a catalogue of World- wide support condemning ISRAEL for the atrocities it has committed in Palestine .
As you indicate this condemnation originated in the North Curve of Celtic park ; inspired by the ” Green Brigade ” .So , well-done also to the ” Green Brigade ” for not allowing Western Powers and western politicians to dive behind the couch every time the , ” Jewish Question ” is raised . I , personally wrote to the ” Chief Rabbi of the U.K. ” as soon as I saw bombs and missiles raining-down on innocent men women and children in the name of :- Israel’s Right to defend its borders . My reply was that I was called , “anti -Semitic” from the Chief Rabbi’s office .
I do not wish to politicise the Celtic Star so I will go no further than to thank and praise all concerned—-Well done .

    • Jordan and Pakistan killed up to 55,000, fifty five thousand Palestinians.
Jordan took in more than a million Palestinian refugees and they killed many Jordanians and try to over throw Jordan’s king.

Kiwait when I lived there deported more than 300,000 Palestinian families because they sided with Saddam Hussein against Kuwait.

I lived all over Arabia and I could write a book the hatred I’ve witnessed Arab and Muslims have against Palestine.

You should go and live out there, maybe you’ll change your mind.

  2. Don’t even know what they’re talking about
Half of them don’t even know where Palestine is or anything about the terrorist Hamas regime. Thank god for Israel or we would all be in danger from the terrorists who are not only threatened Israel but the Christian world in general..
    Go Israel.

    • 100% spot on.
I’ve been to Palestine many times with my two Palestinian friends.
Palestinians are terrified of HAMAS and anyone who dares to speak against them is murdered or tortured.

  3. It’s heart warming to know we will be on the right side of history. It’s been unbelievable to watch the amount of bombs and missiles that have flattened Gaza as well as so many women and children in particular being slaughtered. Good, decent people should always be sickened and call out genocide when it happens. But…..but….. there’s no excuse for massacring over 50000 children in a year. The fact that the message echoes around the world now helps us too HH

  4. I’m a Celtic fan who rejects the simplistic “show Israel the red card” campaign. I support the Palestinians who oppose Hamas, I also support the Israelis opposing Hamas. The idea that we can send Israel off the pitch as a solution is crass and morally vacuous.
