Norwegian duo free to play Hibs after quarantine scare

MOI ELYOUNOSSI & KRIS AJER will be free to face Hibernian at the weekend, according to The Scottish Sun. The pair were involved with the Norwegian national team when a positive case wreaked havoc with their Nations League plans resulting in the game against Andorra being forfeited.

The initial team were told by Norwegian authorities that they were to quarantine for ten days meaning they would be potential doubts for Celtic’s trip to Easter Road on Sunday. The Scottish Champions have, however, been given a boost with the news that the Norwegian duo have since tested negative on two occasions following the outbreak in their camp.

Celtic had their domestic campaign impacted after a COVID-19 outbreak on international duty with Ryan Christie, Odsonne Edouard, Hatem Abd Elhamed and Nir Bitton all missing games after testing positive or being identified as a close contact. Neil Lennon’s side need to get back on track for 10IAR by resuming winning ways on Saturday against Hibs.

It will be a major boost that the Norwegian duo are available to play against Hibs, with the pair having played well this season with Moi perhaps being the POTY so far.
