“Not as big as his current club,” Says Sutton on Leeds debate

Celtic legend, Chris Sutton, has come forward to give his opinion on the recent debate regarding whose club is bigger, Celtic or Leeds.

Sutton comes to largely the same opinion as most rational-thinking people: Celtic Football Club is a much bigger club than Leeds United. For both History and prestige, Celtic is a far better option for Ange Postecoglou. It seems that the majority of people who support Leeds in this argument are Leeds supporters, while in extreme contrast, people from all over the United Kingdom think that Celtic are bigger, even some fans of theRangers have come forward to voice the same conclusion.

Sutton maintains the view that Ange Postecoglou still has unfinished business in the Champions League and that Postecoglou himself has voiced his desire to leave his mark in Europe, which is something that Leeds United simply can’t help him with as the prospects of playing in Europe is very minimal. Furthermore, Leeds United are currently battling off relegation while Celtic are on their way to lifting their 53rd League title.

Speaking in his column on the DailyRecord, Sutton gave his opinion on what Ange will do…

“Just an example because I don’t want people thinking I’m advocating for or predicting the exit of Jurgen Klopp from Liverpool. But, if the German were to leave his post at Anfield tomorrow, I don’t think there are many who wouldn’t think Postecoglou could go into a club of that size and make an impact.”

“He plays their attacking brand of football and has shown in Glasgow he can handle a big environment. Of course, the majority of the smaller clubs in England’s top-flight would be interested. But would Postecoglou be interested in them?”

“Would he really want to swap Celtic for a Wolves or a Brentford? Can’t see it myself. Leeds are big, but not as big as his current club. It’s making a mark in Europe which holds the real appeal. Postecoglou has said himself how much he wants that.”
