Not up for debate – Aussie pundit insists Celtic had the better season

With all the hyperbole and cubic zirconia that was flying around in the mainstream media to deflect away from Celtic’s miraculous recovery in May, much nonsense was dressed up as “real debate” over which Glasgow club had the better season in 2021-22.

A spurious few infantalised themselves with the notion that the Ibrox club winning the Europa League would have trumped the Lisbon Lions, in a shameless effort to deny Celtic and Ange Postecoglou praise for their League title win.

However, the hubris was short lived and far from sipping on champagne by the end of the night in the Ramon Sanchez- Pizjuan stadium, theRangers supporters would be drowning their sorrows on a more acrid fluid. Not content with losing to Frankfurt and Celtic this year, preposterous entities still raved on about who had the better season.

Now former Celtic striker Scott McDonald has waded into this quasi-argument and asserted that their is no argument to be had at all. Speaking on the Go Radio Football Show, he said:

“Celtic had the better season. They won two trophies, Rangers won one. They’re into the Champions League and get that money, Rangers still have to do that.”

A required slap-down from the Aussie who did not, and should not, bow to the pressure of media bias to make a certain football club in Scotland feel better about themselves. They were second best and that’s that. Ange and his players were insatiable for success after the winter break and deserve all the plaudits that come their way.

Although it was few and far between in Scottish society, as prominent figures were more interested in bending over backwards to praise anti-Catholic and anti-Irish singing in Seville.

What a universe we live in, eh?

I'm a Garngad Bhoy through and through. My first ever Celtic game was a friendly against Italian side Parma at Celtic Park, in 2002. Currently a student of English Literature and Education at the University of Strathclyde for my sins. Favourite game would be a toss up between beating Manchester United with that Naka freekick, or the game against the Oldco when Hesselink scored in the dying seconds. I'm still convinced Cal Mac is wasted playing that far back.

  1. Desparation to convince themselves that their very existence is not as also rans is actually quite sad.
First they try very hard to convince themselves they are a million or so years old. Fact: they were founded and formed in July 2012.
Next, after coming up through the leagues, albeit needing two shots from the championship to reach the SPL, they did win their first ever, and only title to date, in season 2020/21. They won this only because of the COVID-19 loopholes that allowed not only the SFA but also the Scottish Government to pull out all the stops against Celtic achieving ten in a row, a season of poor results also helped by Celtic. More severe penalties against Celtic than any other equally guilty clubs in Scotland allowed the Scottish government to fulfill their goals and stop Celtic.
So with one titles, they try to convince themselves they have won 55, a mean fictional feat for a ten year old club!
They next won a Scottish Cup, their second ever main trophy, and to date, the only two successes they have in their entire existence.
Sadly, if they continue to bury their heads in the sands, this new club are in serious danger of going to their death, in the same fashion as the previous SFA establishment who died and became fully extinct in 2012, prior to the new club being founded later that year. The old extinct club, as the world of football knows, died chasing Lions. They were never going to catch those Lions, despite succumbing to deep corruption and extensive cheating, they never did, right up until they drew their last breath!
Now, the new SFA establishment club are so desparate to convince themselves that they too are more successful than is actually possible in ten years, and still, they chase those Lions! Seeking the impossible, just like those brainwashed Americans who insanely think the US election was rigged!
Sadly, so many uneducated sheep believe what they so desparatly want to be true by listening to more uneducated sheep!
Fact: you will never catch those Lions!
