Ntcham at Marseille Latest: AVB interview had Fabricated Subtitles, Malicious Intent Suspected

“Wow! He’s suspended after telling them where to stick Ntcham’s signing. That’s how bad an influence and a player he thinks he is. Willing to get fired on the back of it. Jaysus! Bet Olivier wishes he was back at Celtic now. Also, after that assessment, what’s he worth? Tenner?” John Hughes (@Yogijunior3″) noted last night but now he has revealed that he’s been taken in by FAKE NEWS.

He was referring to this video of AVB’s dramatic press conference at Marseille where he offered his resignation and was later sacked after the club sanctioned the deal to bring Celtic midfielder Olivier Ntcham in from Celtic on loan until the end of the season, with an option to buy at €4.5m.

You’ve probably seen this or read about it in the media but not all is as it seems apparently. The sub-titles are terrible from Ntcham’s point of view and also Celtic’s.  John Hughes explains below.

“So it seems the Ntcham story may be fabricated BS. I hate being suckered with misinformation. Although in my defence, many in the MSM reported as fact. I’m informed by French speaking @eddiedoch in the thread below that the subtitles are complete bollox. Malicious?” he tweeted.

And revealed that  a Celtic podcast was busy (innocently) discussing this fabricated story today, totally oblivious to the fact that it was all complete and utter nonsense, FAKE NEWS!

“I know this was referred to in the bulletin today. Seems it’s entirely untrue. French speaker in this thread and the previous thread verifying that he (Ntcham) wasn’t even specifically mentioned. Seems malicious intent. Can’t think of another reason for fabricating subtitles?”

John Hughes goes on to ask:

“Where did it originate? Someone is really at it. Malign intent as well if you ask me. Can’t see any other reason for it.”

Connor Leeson helps clarify that this is a FAKE NEWS story:

“AVB was only talking in general terms about how he disagreed with the “sporting policy” of the club. He never even referred to Olivier Ntcham – or his abilities or otherwise – just that he hadn’t sanctioned the signing, hence his resignation.

“AVB’s upset at his Sporting Director and the club hierarchy, that’s all. Doesn’t even refer to Olivier Ntcham in that clip, except to say the signing wasn’t his call. Someone’s been done up like a kipper here.

“Only seems like yesterday that Oli was everyone’s hero for grabbing that winner in Rome. Not saying he’s not a frustrating talent to watch at times (he is!), but (the poster) has questions to answer. Stooge or patsy, who knows?”
