Odsonne Edouard being eyed by Italian Champions Inter Milan

Inter Milan are the latest club to be linked with an interest in Celtic’s Odsonne Edouard. The 23-year-old is widely expected to depart the club this summer with Leicester City amongst a number of teams monitoring the Frenchman.

According to Italian outlet Metropolitan, Inter are plotting a rebuild after their Serie A success and new boss Simone Inzaghi wants to bring the attacker to the club. Inter are likely to sell a number of prized assets as they look to trim their wage bill and Edouard is seen as a quality, affordable option.

Despite a quiet season by his standards, Edouard scored 22 goals and bagged 6 assists over the course of the season. He was starved of quality assistance and often cut a dejected character as the season ended in misery.

Edouard also notched 16 goals in 13 games for the French U21s, he will now likely see his progression into the top team with Karim Benzema and Olivier Giroud all in the twilight of their careers. This may be part of the reason that he sees his career moving on from Celtic in the summer, with a whole host of clubs likely to have interest in bringing him to their clubs.

Elsewhere, Kris Ajer admitted that he is likely to leave Celtic this summer. The Norwegian defender said that it would be the best for all parties as he has just one year left on his deal and that he would like to go to a ‘top 5 league’.
