Odsonne Edouard fuels transfer speculation with agent switch

Odsonne Edouard has switched his agent, according to reports. The French striker has eighteen months remaining on his current Celtic deal and has been linked with a multi-million move from the club since the summer. However, now we have been given the clearest indication that the 22-year-old is planning for his future, whether that be a new contract with Celtic or a move elsewhere.

According to Football Insider, Edouard has decided to employ Stellar Football Ltd, who represent top professionals such as Kieran Tierney, Gareth Bale and Jack Grealish. Celtic have had dealings with Stellar Football in the past with Scott Sinclair, Tom Rogic and Nir Bitton all having been represented by the agents.

Celtic will be hoping that he could hit the heights of last season that saw him score 28 goals and notch 12 assists in 45 appearances. This would help the club mount the enormous task of overturning the 19 point gap held by Rangers at the top of the Premiership table.

Kieran Tierney was represented by Stellar and signed a new deal with Celtic shortly after confirming the move. Celtic will likely be hoping that Edouard might sign a year extension in order to maximise their value of the French striker. However, it is more than likely that Edouard has made the decision in order to set him up for potential transfer dealings in the future.

AC Milan were recently linked with a £30m move for the French attacker who joined Celtic permanently from PSG in 2018 after spending a year at the club and has been an integral part of the side in each season since.

Hopefully Celtic can encourage the player to sign a small extension, allowing him to stay and help wrestle the league title and completing 10IAR.
