Omissions and lies in BBC Scotland’s Ibrox Propaganda film

This is actually quite remarkable. The publicly funded BBC has this evening posted a video on social on the 150 years history of Rangers in 150 seconds.

Do they mention the decade after decade implementation of a sectarian signing policy which prevented Roman Catholics playing for Rangers? No they don’t.

Well what about 2012 and all that when after a CVA was rejected by creditors Rangers FC was forced into liquidation and a new club was started by Founding Father Charles Green, who later claimed that he had ‘bought’ the titles won by the non defunct club.

How would BBC Scotland handle this? Here’s how they do it…

“But Rangers’ financial problems result in a place in the third division of the Scottish Football League.”

Don’t laugh, you pay for this. Just the other week The BBC had to apologise to Celtic for a tweet by their Chief Sports Writer Tom English which they admitted failed to meet their own ethical standards regarding balance and impartiality.

Why is the Holding Company and not the Club named on the gates at Ibrox?

Has any blue nose ever explained why if the club was indeed different from the holding company why did they name the holding company on the gates at Ibrox – still there – and NOT the club?

Maybe the highly paid troll Tom English will answer that puzzler for us on his yellow carded Twitter account.
