THERE is not a lot of football being played right now across the world as Coronavirus takes hold – except Belarus, where vodka and saunas are meant to keep the virus at bay. However, thanks to @Lilze85 on Twitter, we can take a trip down memory lane and look at some of Celtic’s goals on this day in the 20th century.
1951 – Celtic 1 Motherwell 0
Jimmy McGrory’s Celtic side won the Scottish Cup with a 1-0 win over Motherwell at Hampden. John McPhail scored the winner.

1969 – Kilmarnock 2 Celtic 2
Celtic made it 4-in-a-row with a last minute goal from Tommy Gemmell sealing a point at Rugby Park. Going into the game needing one point from the next two matches, it was far from ideal as Stein’s side were 2-0 down at half time. An own goal from a Bobby Murdoch effort gave Celtic a lifeline before Gemmell sealed the title late on.
