THERE is not a lot of football being played right now across the world as Coronavirus takes hold – except Belarus, where vodka and saunas are meant to keep the virus at bay. However, thanks to @Lilze85 on Twitter, we can take a trip down memory lane and look at some of Celtic’s goals on this day.
2018 – CELTIC 0 ABERDEEN 1
Two years ago, Aberdeen arrived in Glasgow knowing that a win would seal second place ahead of Rangers. Celtic, meanwhile, were there to celebrate the club’s seventh title in a row and avoid any injuries before the Scottish Cup Final with Motherwell the following week.
The encounter was scrappy and Celtic went through the motions, offering a little going forward but a bit stale as Scott Brown tried to lift the tempo with a bruising encounter with Shinnie. Considine got the winner but in all honesty, it was all about receiving the trophy.

2012 – CELTIC 5 HEARTS 0
Eight years ago, Celtic lifted the first of the current 8 titles with a win at home to Hearts. Neil Lennon’s side demolished the capital team with Gary Hooper scoring a first half hat-trick. Remarkably, despite the dominant display in front of goal, the Scottish Cup winners that season would have more possession but it was the Scottish Champions that put on a show.
Hooper’s goals meant that the Lennon’s first title as manager would be with a margin of 20 points. The win would be the beginning of the incredible run that has Lennon, back in his second stint, on the cusp of 9IAR.
