On This Day: Stunner from Rogic as Celtic ease to win

On This Day last year, Celtic travelled to Tannadice to face Dundee United. Ange Postecoglou’s side were heading into a congested fixture list with the squad threadbare due to injuries. However, the team oozed class with a performance that would show what was to come in the second half of the season.

Ange’s compatriot Tom Rogic stole the show with a jaw-dropping opener. The creative midfielder took the ball on the right flank before dancing his way forward and slotting the ball into the corner. It was a great goal. The Celtic onslaught continued and there were a number of chances created by the midfield trio of Rogic, Callum McGregor and David Turnbull. The trio combined in that order as McGregor dinked a ball into Turnbull’s pass. Making it 2-0.

Liam Scales rounded off the scoring with a cultured effort.
