Open Goal’s Simon Ferry Signs Up For Anfield Legends Game

Open Goal podcaster and football manager Simon Ferry is set to play for Celtic legends against Liverpool legends in the LFC Foundation charity match at Anfield in March.

Ferry is the sixth player to be named in the Celtic team, and the only named player not to have made a competitive first team appearance for the club. He will play alongside Artur Boruc, Stiliyan Petrov, Darren O’Dea, Stephen McManus and Jan Venegoor of Hesselink.

Ferry wasn’t shy in letting the cat out the bag – revealing the news to the 51,000 plus viewers of Open Goal’s recent podcast episode ahead of an official announcement!

Tickets remain available in the Celtic end. Celtic supporters have been given the lower tier of the Anfield Road end of the stadium, and have sold a few thousand to date. Details of how to purchase tickets can be found in the embedded tweet above.
