Outcasted Brendan Rodgers signing likes post announcing Neil Lennon’s Celtic departure

In a way it’s bizarre that we’ve reached a point where a player pressing a button constitutes news, but it’s a pretty simple and petty way for some to get their feelings across.

Vakoun Bayo was signed by Brendan Rodgers for Celtic and he was clearly a player who was raw but had potential, but he didn’t have many chances under Neil Lennon.

It would be a push to say he’s shown enough in his loan spell at Toulouse to suggest he should’ve been kept on as a starting option this season, but he will feel like nobody has really impressed apart from Eddy.

As we all know Neil Lennon officially left his role yesterday as his resignation was announced, and The Daily Record have pointed out that Bayo was quick to like the post on social media.

He was barely used last season but there was never anything to suggest that there was anything personal between the striker and Lenny, but clearly he’s not a big fan of the former manager.

He’s only scored four goals in nineteen Ligue 2 appearances this season so it’s not like he’s lighting it up in France, but perhaps he will have a chance to return in the summer and fight for a place under the new gaffer.

Still trying to figure out exactly why Vidar Riseth hammered the ball across his own goal line that night in Perth....

Unbelievable considering the dross that Lenny brought in. Anyway, onwards and lessons learnt by the board hopefully!
