Outpouring of rage directed at Solicitors after Celtic settlements is telling

‘Rangers’ should do the right thing and compensate their own victims who have come forward

Doing the right thing, they too should settle and pay compensation to the victims. When they say that they are the same club after Rangers FC went into liquidation and claim the honours from Rangers FC but leave the creditors unpaid that is bizarre. To add the victims of child abuse at their club or clubs is more than disgraceful, it’s downright shameful.

Thompsons Solicitors on their website have this to say about the case against Rangers…

Rangers

A Court of Session action was raised to reinstate Rangers ‘old co’ as a company to allow proceedings to be brought against them. The personal injury actions against the club remain ongoing.

There remains ongoing consideration of cases involving football clubs generally. If the abuse has been reported to the police, there will likely be a route to compensation available to survivors. Anyone affected should contact Thompsons for advice based on their specific circumstances.

The Rangers support should be campaigning for the victims of Rangers FC and all other victims too, to get the settlements that they too are due. Indeed football supporters across Scotland should all unite in campaigning for this outcome. Hiding behind the liquidation of Rangers FC why claiming that their club never died is both hypocritical and shameful.

Excellent report. I was aware that The Ranjurs were being investigated, but not aware of the statement you provided.
Anyone with an an ounce of sense or decency should be feeling compassion for all players that were affected in whatever way, and when I say anyone – I mean supporters of every club. So hopefully supporters of The Ranjurs will acknowledge that Celtic FC are not the only club that did wrongs. As a Celtic supporter it is horrible to see our club being continually tarnished by Scottish Media and opposition fans, but we are realistic people and we have now accepted that this happened.
I just wish fans from other clubs and media would also accept we were not the only ones.
