Paddy Power tease Peter Lawwell as Ange nears Spurs

Paddy Power have teased Peter Lawwell for Neil Lennon’s appointment in 2019. Following Brendan Rodgers’ departure for Leicester City, Lennon was appointed in unceremonious fashion – namely the Hampden showers.

Now, as Celtic look set to enter the hunt for a new manager, the betting company have trolled Lawwell in a Twitter post.

Ange Postecoglou looks set to depart this summer with the Australian overseeing a Treble. The manager will leave with everyone’s best wishes but the hope is that the succession planning has been underway.

Thankfully, it’ll be Dermot Desmond and Michael Nicholson that select the new manager. Hopefully a manager of Ange’s calibre is appointed as the Scottish champions look to continue their domination of the Scottish game and foray further into Europe.
