Photo: Arsenal’s Kieran Tierney shows Celtic match day tradition

Kieran Tierney has revealed that Celtic still play a huge part in his match day kit, even if he plays for Premier League side Arsenal. The former Celtic defender left the Scottish Champions in the summer of 2019 for a fee in the region of £25m, becoming the most expensive Scottish export. The 23-year-old shared a photo following Arsenal’s win against Chelsea at the Emirates, that had a Celtic shinguard with KT63 on it.

The other one bore the Arsenal badge as well as KT3. The left-back impressed as Arteta’s side won the game, relieving pressure on the manager after a poor run of results. The left-back made over 170 appearances for Celtic, winning five league titles and three League Cups and Scottish Cups during his time whilst enjoying hero status with supporters as being ‘one of us’.

  1. “One of us” he would have left a lot sooner if he was allowed! Any diehard especially one on 20grand plus doesn’t leave before at least trying to get something like 10 in a row.
