Photo: Big Apple Reunion for Ex-Celtic Pair

New New York City FC manager Ronny Deila was reunited with Gary Mackay-Steven as the pair step up preparations for the beginning of the MLS season.

Deila, who spent two seasons as manager at Celtic, became the New York City boss this month after agreeing to switch Vålerenga for the Big Apple.

Mackay-Steven joined Deila’s Celtic in 2015 for £250,000 until the summer of 2017 when he joined Aberdeen.

Mackay-Steven was at his best for Celtic under the Norwegian and will be hoping for more of the same as they attempt to conquer MLS.

The 44-year-old won two Premiership titles during his time in Glasgow as well as a League Cup before returning to Norway in 2016.

Hopefully Deila and GMS will have a fruitful reunion for City in New York.
