Callum McGregor has been included in the SPFL Team of the Week as Celtic returned to action after the International Break with a win over Motherwell. Goals from Jota and David Turnbull sealed a win for Ange Postecoglou’s side but it was his impressive captain that was included in the Team of the Week. The 28-year-old is the gel that holds Celtic together with his ability on and off the ball really set the tempo of the team around him.

As we saw for Scotland and against Ferencvaros yesterday, McGregor’s level of consistency is astonishing. In the period whereby he was injured and unavailable, Celtic lacked any real rhythm but since he has returned, we can all clearly see how pivotal he is to Ange Postecoglou’s team.
