Photo: Cameron Carter-Vickers reacts to momentous win

Celtic defender Cameron Carter-Vickers has reacted after playing ninety minutes in the win over Iran last night. The USA Internationalist started his first game of the competition and helped his side to record a 1-0 win which sets up a Last 16 tie with the Netherlands.

Taking to Instagram, CCV has reacted stating he’s proud of his team.

Carter-Vickers has been mightily impressive since making the loan switch permanent in the summer, assuming the captaincy in Callum McGregor’s absence and continuing to improve his own game. No doubt Berhalter decided to play the Celt in the hope he would bring the same tenacity that he has shown under Ange Postecoglou to the US Team. It was certainly rewarded with an assured performance from CCV.

Now, Cameron and his teammates will relish the opportunity to face Van Dijk and co in the Last 16.
