Photo: ‘I will always be thankful’, Ntcham reacts to Marseille move

Olivier Ntcham has spoken out after arriving on loan at Marseille. The arrival of the 24-year-old last night prompted former Chelsea boss Villas-Boas to tender his resignation but that hasn’t stopped the Frenchman taking to Instagram to convey his delight at completing the move to the Ligue 1 side. Ntcham also thanked Celtic for the opportunity and time he spent in Glasgow.

AVB had said he didn’t want Ntcham at the club and had rejected a move for the player. He will be hoping that Marseille activate the £5m option to sign him in the summer, providing he impresses.

The Frenchman joined from Manchester City for £4.5m in 2017. Although game time has been limited, now even more so with the emergence of Ismaila Soro and David Turnbull into the Celtic midfield.

The midfielder signed for Brendan Rodgers from City and has made 137 appearances, scoring 23 goals in a trophy laden period for the club. The player looks set to have played his last game for the club.
