Photo: Italian Police say no Mussolini banners – Celtic fans: “hold my beer”

There are so many fantastic things emerging from tonight’s win in Rome. From Chris Sutton absolutely losing it on the BT Sport commentary to Olivier Ntcham’s glorious dinked finish. This might top the lot.

Admittedly it might be a bit childish, but that’s what makes it so much better. Factions of the Lazio fanbase have disgraced themselves in recent weeks, we even got to see the Granddaughter of Mussolini make an appearance to try and drum up some violence towards the Celtic fans.

It’s fair to say her Granda’s men have been well and truly beaten when you consider everything that’s happened. Obviously the results on the pitch are the most important thing, but it’s the small things off the pitch that count too.

It seems the Italian police warned fans not to bring any Mussolini banners. They were not to be denied, and decided to create some real-life art instead:

It’s been a chastening night for Lazio all round, they lost the game and find themselves eliminated from the group after only four games.

It also shows you can’t completely squash the creativity of some of the fans either !
