Celtic will hope that Ajer might commit to a new deal in the hope that they can allow whoever replaces Neil Lennon in the summer to build a team around the 22-year-old.
The team are likely to oversee a period of transition as the new boss, whoever that is, looks to regain the League title and potentially secure a fifth consecutive Scottish Cup in a row.
