Our photo of the day, today, is this image of the Celtic support in Turin for the UEFA Champions League group stage clash with Juventus in 2001.

Many Celts will have tales to tell from that trip, which was ultimately full of heartache.

The infamous Drughi Ultras threw stones and bottles down on the Celtic fans as they walked to the stadium, then once in the ground, the travelling support could feel aggrieved for a very different reason as Juventus stole victory with a disgraceful penalty decision following Amaruso’s dive. Martin O’Neill was so incensed that he was sent to the stands and gave this famous interview after the undeserved 3-2 defeat:
