Photo Of The Day: John Hartson Applies Pressure In The San Siro

Today’s photo of the day goes back to September 2004, when Celtic were defeated 3-1 in the San Siro. The match was a Champions League group stage clash and John Hartson is pictured applying pressure to famous Milanese defender Alessandro Nesta.

Hartson was performing very well in the contest, before being substituted in the 86th minute. The game was level at 1-1 when Hartson was removed, but late goals from Inzaghi and Pirlo tipped the balance in favour of the home side.
