Today’s photo of the day feature doubles up as an on this day piece. It shows Leigh Griffiths scoring one of his three goals against Dundee United at Tannadice on 26 April 2015.
The match was poised at 0-0 going into the break, but a blistering second half saw the Leith man bag a hat-trick to hand Celtic a 3-0 SPFL victory. The result extended Celtic’s lead at the top to eight points and set Ronny Deila’s men up for a title clincher the following weekend. Meanwhile, Griffiths’ hat-trick was his second in 11 days.
