Photo Of The Day: New Dawn, Same Passion

On 13 August 2011, Celtic beat Dundee United 5-1 at Celtic Park. It was the first home league game of the 2011/12 season, coming just months after Celtic had lost the league by a point in May. The new campaign brought a fresh opportunity to win the league title. As such, the Green Brigade unveiled a display reading “New Dawn, Same Passion.”

Since that day, Celtic lifted the league trophy and went on to win nine consecutive league trophies. Therefore, 2021/22 will be the first time that the Hoops will begin the season without being champions.

A rebuild is expected at the club, along with a new manager and a multitude of signings. In other words, a new dawn awaits again, but if/when fans are allowed to return to matches the same passion will be there.

A decade on, this display should ring true with the Celtic faithful. We must put this season behind us and push on towards greater success.
