Photo Of The Day: The Hail Hail Tunnel

Today’s photo of the day feature looks back at the famous Celtic Park tunnel at a time when it was emblazoned with the words “Hail Hail!”

The image comes from the St Patrick’s Day Massacre, when Celtic beat Rangers 2-0 in Paradise, on 17 March 1991.

Much has changed since the ground was rebuilt and modernised after Fergus McCann’s arrival in the mid-90s. But old memories of these tunnel details, the Jungle and the terracing of the Celtic End are still fondly recalled by many.
