Photo Of The Day: The Last European Away Day

Today’s photo of the day concentrates on a topical point of discussion, in the wake of Boris Johnson’s announcement that people who have been double vaccinated will soon not have to self-isolate upon returning from holidays to many foreign nations. In the world of Celtic, supporters have began to wonder if the Prime Minister’s decision will be followed by Nicola Sturgeon, thus opening up the possibility of fans attending European away games again.

Celtic endured a season to forget last term, but fans weren’t present throughout the campaign. In fact, the last European away match that the Celtic faithful attended was in Copenhagen, back in February 2020. The Bhoys drew that game 1-1 and the Celtic support were as vocal and colourful as ever.

Hopefully these trips to return as soon as it is safe to do so.
