Photo Of The Day: The One True Faith

Today’s photo of the day depicts one of the great Celtic displays (off the park). The One True Faith was a fantastic banner and tifo design by the Green Brigade Ultras, depicting the famous glass windows at the old entrance to the Main Stand. The short phrase encapsulates how so many of us feel about this club, which provides highs and lows on the pitch, but means so much off it.

It was a wonderful touch to see legends down the years given their place – Henrik Larsson, Jimmy McGrory, Jock Stein, Brother Walfrid, Willie Maley, Jimmy Johnstone and Tommy Burns.

Unfortunately the ambience created off the pitch, wasn’t quite matched on it that afternoon, as a late Clint Hill equaliser meant that Celtic drew 1-1 with their city rivals. We could take consolation in the fact that Celtic would go on to become Invincible Treble winners!

There were also thunderous scenes outside the stadium that day, 12 March 2017, as a fan march was held from the Celtic Supporter’s Association Social Club on London Road to Paradise.
