Photo Of The Day: The Streets Of Seville

Today’s photo of the day combines past and present as the streets of Seville are filled with Celtic supporters. Back in 2003, there were 80,000 of us in the Andalusian city for the UEFA Cup Final. Tonight, there will be just a few hundred fans, who went through with the journey despite a U-turn on the decision to allow away supporters into the Benito Villamarín Stadium.

The match ended in heartache 18 years ago, but Postecoglou’s men have the opportunity to bring great joy to the Celtic family tonight. If his side can win and avenge a 59-year hoodoo on Spanish soil (in competitive games) then there will be great cause for celebration in Glasgow and beyond.
