Photo Of The Day: Walk On At Pittodrie

Today’s photo of the day returns with an image from tonight’s match venue, Pittodrie. The picture dates back to 10 February 2008, when Celtic ran out 5-1 winners. Goals that day came from Nakamura, McGeady, McDonald (x2) and Robson. In this game, the latter became the first Celtic player ever to score with his very first touch of the ball for the club; a feat which would be replicated by Jack Aitchison in 2015.

The Celtic faithful were in great spirits, enjoying the best away performance of the season. Aiden McGeady was the star of the show with an outstanding individual display, while the goal fest was Celtic’s second strong showing in succession. This did much to silence the critics.

If results and scenes like this can be replicated tonight then Celtic will remain top of the table.
