Photo special: Celtic favourite Mikael Lustig back at Hampden

Celtic fan favourite Mikael Lustig was back at Hampden yesterday ahead of today’s game in Glasgow against Ukraine. The Swedes will have watched on as big guns France and the Netherlands were dumped out and know that they cannot take anything for granted. However, they will have one man in their ranks that knows all about getting results at Hampden – Lustig.

The ex-Celtic right-back was last at Hampden in May 2019 as he helped Celtic seal the Treble Treble and two years on, he will be eyeing more success in Glasgow’s South Side. Here are a collection of photos of the big Swede back at a ground that he enjoyed so much success at.

Celtic have been unable to replace Lustig since he left that summer. Jeremie Frimpong, Jonjoe Kenny and Hatem Abd Elhamed have all had spells in the first team but all have since moved on to pastures new and the Lustig-shaped void remains unfilled.
