Play “Give Ireland Back to the Irish”, Celtic SC asks Paul McCartney

CONTINUING on the Brexit theme this morning, after a Tory Minister cracked a joke about Steven Gerrard’s swift exit from Europe, the Irvine Celtic Supporters Club have come up with a solution to the Back Stop problem that seems to be the cause of much Unionist angst.

The legend that is Paul McCartney performed a stunning three hour show last night at the Hydro in Glasgow, performing over 40 songs.

In advance of the gig the former Beatle took to social media to ask Glasgow – who is ready to party? And the Irvine Bhoys jumped on with a few suggestions for the legend for his set including Give Ireland Back to the Irish – McCartney’s classic from the 1970s which was banned from the BBC – just like Rod Stewart’s version of Grace this year.

As it turned out Paul didn’t play Give Ireland Back to the Irish last night. It however does remain a powerful song and if and when implemented would sort out these problems with the “Irish” border by removing it all together!

Here’s Paul’s most controversial song with the lyrics…

For those interested here’s the play-list from last night Paul McCartney show. He’s 76 and managed three hours on stage, sounding magnificent, and performing these classics. I had a group of 16 year olds there and they loved absolutely every single song. They were totally buzzing afterwards.
