Questions for Alex Thomson as his Channel 4 Report on Child Abuse is about to be broadcast

ALEX THOMSON’S report into historical child abuse in Scottish football will be broadcast this evening on Channel 4 News.

“Malcolm’s Story. Waiving his anonymity former soldier Malcom Rodger gives his first tv interview detailing how he was trafficked from Scotland to be abused in Blackpool by the notorious paedophile Barry Bennell,” Thomson tweeted today.

The Celtic Star has also been speaking to Malcolm – who incidentally is a Rangers supporter – and he has some very interesting comments to make about the Scottish FA and also his fellow Bears for their disgusting chants about child abuse at just about every game that they play.

Last night we pointed out that while the SPFL have managed to target the Celtic support in their Unacceptable Conduct Statement though specifically referring to the Irish heritage of our club, the SPFL do NOT as yet deem it Unacceptable Conduct to chant about child abuse. And the worst offenders are of course Malcolm’s fellow Rangers supporters. Read what he has to say about them this evening, after Thomson’s report on Channel 4 News.

“22 years of abuse…12 boys… 14 charges…guilty plea and Lord Justice Ross sentenced the paedophile to 12 months in 1987 saying victims suffered no long-term effects – Malcom Rodger is still in bits 33 years on m’lud,” Thomson continues.

“Tonight for the first time, convicted paedophile Bill Kelly is confronted on camera with his past crimes – including abusing Malcolm Rodger for which he was convicted – and allegations of trafficking him to England,” Thomson continues.

“By speaking out and bravely waiving his right to anonymity, sex abuse victim Malcolm Rodger hopes others will find the strength to come forward after decades of sex abuse across Scottish football – scores, possibly hundreds, could be out there still suffering in silence,” says Thomson.

“Paedophile trafficking victim Malcolm Rodger:”What Barry Bennell did to me in Blackpool…it actually made me physically sick. And I can remember being tearful asking Bill Kelly for some cleaning products to help clean the sick up at the end of the bedspread.”” continues Thomson.

“Paedophile trafficking victim Malcolm Rodger:”What’s driving me forward out of the shadows is that I know there’s other victims in Scotland.” AT: Scores? MR: Yeah” tweets Thomson.

“Scottish FA sex abuse investigator Martin Henry tells Channel 4 News trafficking evidence has changed path of its investigation and has been handed both to English FA and to Police Scotland – people are under investigation . Tonight at 7 on 4. Part 1 of a 2 part investigation,” Thomson continues.

“Convicted of sexually assaulting 12 boys over 22 years, paedophile Bill Kelly said: “I pleaded guilty to everything that I did in black and white. I wouldn’t have put a laddie on the stand.” Thomson adds.

“Asked what he has to say to all of his victims, Scottish football paedophile Bill Kelly said: ”I’m sorry if I upset you. If that’s the case. Oh yes – it ruins lives.”” Thomson writes.

Then after all of that he brings Celtic into it by referring to the Celtic Statement released this evening.

“New statement today from Celtic FC in response to Channel 4 News investigation. Little if anything new. Expressing sorrow is very different linguistically and legally from saying sorry: ie apologising.” Thomson argues.

Little if anything of the above very sad stories involving evil individuals has anything to do with Celtic. Celtic in their statement today explain that they cannot say more than they have – and they sound deeply sorry to me – due to legal reasons.

A question for Thomson – and this is ahead of seeing his report – why if this is the content of your report did you choose to use an images of Celtic Park in your initial promotional tweets. It’s seems crass, somewhat misleading and simply piggy backing on the sordid fascination for child abuse mixed in with a hatred of Celtic.

Perhaps you should have asked Rangers supporter Malcolm Rodger about this sickness among his fellow supporters. It disgusts him Alex.
