Rangers man admits Celtic deserve 9-in-a-row

Scottish football is enduring one of the most trying, uncertain periods in its history – probably since WW2. No one knows when football will be back and no one knows what football will look like when it eventually returns; however, that isn’t stopping people debating about whether Celtic deserve the league title.

There’s one team in particular that isn’t willing to concede that the season is over, they play in blue and seem to think Coronavirus is a Celtic plot to rob them of silverware. Day after day, a Rangers pundit will say the games need to be played as the quota of nonsense continues to be filled. That said, Ronald De Boer has clearly not heard all the party line from Ibrox recently. The Dutch midfielder said that Celtic would be worthy Champions in an exclusive interview with the Scottish Sun.

“I’d love to see Rangers win the league again after all this time but you have to be objective.

“Celtic are well clear at the moment and like Liverpool in England, they deserve to win it.

“If you have to nominate a winner then you have to say Liverpool, and the same counts for Celtic.”

De Boer seems to have confused Celtic’s lead over Rangers with the games played column in the Premiership table as he acknowledges that Rangers don’t want Celtic ‘handed the premiership.’ This is embarrassing as he has clearly been misinformed about Celtic’s 13 point lead over Rangers.

“Of course, you are going to have parties who do not agree as they will miss out on promotion or be relegated.

“It is the same in Scotland at the moment with Rangers, understandably, not wanting to see Celtic just handed the Premiership. But you have to nominate a winner.

“I don’t think Ajax deserve to be crowned champions as the season is not completed.

“However, the Champions League and Europa League places for next season need to be decided, so you have to make that call.”

As has been discussed, no one knows when football will return but all that is clear is whether given the chance to win on the pitch or off it, Celtic will win their 9th title in a row.
