Celtic travel to Ibrox later today to face Rangers in The Glasgow Derby. The game will see the return of away supporters with 700 Celtic fans headed there now. Ange Postecoglou’s side have an opportunity to open up a six-point gap at the top of the table with a win and the manager has already indicated that his intention is to go for the jugular.
Team News
Celtic are bolstered by the return of Kyogo Furuhashi. The Japanese sensation was injured against St Johnstone on Boxing Day but he has subsequently worked back and is available for selection. Kyogo’s return is a major boost but so too is the fact that the international Celts returned from their respective camps without any concerns.
Tom Rogic, who limped off against Ross County a fortnight ago, is fit and ready to go. David Turnbull, who made an appearance against the Staggies, will also be hoping to sample the game at some stage. Celtic’s bench is growing in strength as these players return from injury.
James Forrest is not available for selection owing to a knock. The manager confirmed that he was still working back from this and as a result, wouldn’t be considered. Karamoko Dembele played 90 minutes for the Celtic B team yesterday as they beat Dalbeattie Star 4-2 and, accordingly, he is unlikely to be involved.
Predicted XI: Hart; Taylor, Starfelt, Carter-Vickers, Juranovic; McGregor, Hatate, Rogic; Maeda, Giakoumakis, Jota.
Celtic blew Rangers away with a sensational first half display with Reo Hatate notching the MOTM accolade. Hopefully, Celtic can find similar form today and collect all three points.
Kick Off Time
The game kicks off at 12 Noon (Celtic Park time).
Where to Watch
The game will be shown on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Football, with coverage starting at 11am. Celtic TV subscribers outside Britain & Ireland can watch on the clubs streaming service.
