Celtic travel to Dingwall in good shape for their SPFL clash with Ross County tomorrow. However, they will be without midfielder Reo Hatate, who suffered an injury on the opening day last weekend.
Speaking at Celtic’s full media conference today, manager Ange Postecoglou confirmed that the Japanese star will be unavailable. Ange said: “After last week Reo has been in rehab all week. He picked up a couple of knocks, felt a bit of a muscle strain, so he’s been in rehab all week – actually had a been a bit of a run today, but tomorrow he’ll miss out.”
Hatate is likely to be replaced by David Turnbull who was in fine goalscoring form during the pre-season break. Although, Ange may also wish to call upon the services of new signing Aaron Mooy. Whatever the boss elects to do, he is certainly not short of options in the middle of the park.
As for the rest of the squad, there are no other concerns with Postecoglou indicating that everyone else is fit to play. That almost clean bill of health also applies to Carl Starfelt, who has just completed a full week of training. The Celtic boss said that he is “just waiting for the right moment to throw him back in there.”
Kick off is at 3pm and the match will not be shown live in the UK or Ireland. However, Celtic fans catch the action, they’ll be hoping that the club stretch their lead at the top of the table by Saturday night.
