CELTIC could be with just one senior goalkeeper in the next few weeks as Craig Gordon’s contract is set to expire, as is the loan deal keeping current number one Fraser Forster at the club. Whilst Forster is the club’s first choice in the transfer window, Celtic could be forced to sign another ‘keeper should they fail to bring him back to the club.
In what is quite a bizarre rumour, the 37-year-old has won La Liga, the Champions League and the Premier League throughout his career; however, the report has claimed that he could attempt to win 10IAR with Celtic.
The Chilean Times is reporting that Bravo is a target for Neil Lennon, with the veteran being available for just £1 million. The report says that Watford’s number one Ben Foster and Joe Hart are options as well should the move for Southampton’s Forster fail.
The report in Chile cited Glasgow Live as their source, which appears to be the source of the report as it also includes Hart and Foster.
The move was very unlikely anyway given his wage demands being likely to be higher than those of Forster. Bravo lost his place to Ederson at Manchester City under Pep Guardiola and in his twilight of his career, the demands at Celtic as well as a 60 game season may be too much.
Neil Lennon and Celtic will be keen to sign Forster straight away and do without the excess hassle of having to be linked with every out-of-contract goalkeeper.
