Reserve Team’s Up – Soro’s Celtic debut, Shved starts but no sign of Klimala

CELTIC Reserves take on Aberdeen in a behind closed doors friendly today and new signing Ismaila Soro in named in the starting eleven. This will be his first time pulling on a Celtic shirt on a match-day and we’ll get a glimpse of how he got on later on when Celtic TV release their video of the game.

The Celtic Reserves side also features fans favourite Marian Shved, who came off the bench for the first team in the Scottish Cup win over Clyde and both Dembele and Arzani – who scored in the friendly down at Middlesbrough for the development side – both start.

Ewan Henderson, recalled early from his loan spell at Ross County, also starts.

Shved starts for the Reserves today

Celtic’s other January signing Patryk Klimala is not involved today, suggesting that he’s probably heading to Copenhagen with the first team. He was involved in a row with the Danish side after claiming that Celtic’s Europa League opponents wanted to sign him in the January window, before he completed his move to Celtic.

No sign of Klimala in the Reserve side today, he’s Copenhagen bound?

The Celtic Reserve team is Hughes, Savoury, Church, Hjelde, Welsh (c), Soro, Shved, Henderson, Harper, Dembele and Arzani.

Subs are Smith, Paterson, Burt, Coffey and Oxo-Flex. Kick-off is at 2pm.
