Ross County v Celtic: Munro the referee, Dallas on VAR

Celtic face Ross County up in Dingwall as Brendan Rodgers’ side look to continue their unbeaten start to the league season. They will face a tricky opposition in Malky Mackay’s Staggies, who drew at Easter Road during the week.

David Munro has been named as the referee for the match. The youthful ref is joined by Ross Macleod and Alan Mulvanny as Assistant Referees.

Meanwhile, back in Glasgow at Clydesdale House, Andrew Dallas is on VAR duties, where he is assisted by John McCrossan.

Munro has not refereed a Celtic game so far this season but has managed a Ross County home defeat earlier this year, where they were beaten by theRangers.

Celtic won during the week and had to come from behind to do so. They were awarded a penalty by VAR after John Beaton missed a hand ball but David Turnbull spurned the chance. Being clinical from the spot is something that we require to work on.

Hopefully it is an enjoyable game and not one that attracts scrutiny due to the officials.

The game kicks off at 12:30pm and is available to watch on Sky Sports Football from 12.

Matt Corr’s new book Majic, Stan and the King of Japan is out now and Neil Lennon, the Celtic captain that season, has written the foreword for us.

  1. Our only league victory with Munro out of 5 league games, was when he tried to screw us with the O’Riley hand ball against Ross County.

  2. Again, the Celtics 11 against 6 and the County’s 11. When will the Celtic board march to the SweetFAlls, and demand they sack all the Lanarkshire referees? And the piggie ones as well?

  3. A corrupt ref on the park and the son of a bigot off it!
They really are trying their best, aren’t they?
    The cheat team!
